The USDA has appointed 32 members to Potatoes USA’s board of directors, including 30 producer members and two importers, for three-year terms expiring in February 2027.
Candidates are proposed by the industry in an annual nomination process and are appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture after review, according to a news release.
The board guides Potatoes USA’s efforts to promote and support the potato industry. setting strategic goals and objectives for the organization and allocating resources to marketing, research and education initiatives. The board monitors these programs’ performance to ensure they are effective and impactful potato growers, processors and other stakeholders.
