Jun 2, 2023Ishida marks milestone with release of advanced multihead weigher
Ishida, a supplier of food weighing and packaging machines and equipment based in Kyoto, Japan, is marking a milestone with the release of a new product.
Ishida is marking 50 years of producing multihead weighers with the launch a new CCW-AS (Computer Combination Weighing-Advantage Series) multihead weigher. Applications include snack foods, fresh produce, prepared foods, frozen vegetables, baked snacks, french fries, fruit and pharmaceuticals.
In 1893, Ishida became Japan’s first private weighing equipment manufacturer during a new age of industrial modernization. First introduced for agricultural applications, multihead weighers are now used in a range of markets. Ishida’s fixed quantity weighing solutions are used in industries including dry and frozen food, fresh meat, poultry and fish and pharmaceuticals.
The CCW-AS Series offers increased productivity with advanced automation for high-speed weighing applications while improving manufacturing and packaging performance as well as product quality and safety, according to a news release. The new model achieves an internal calculation of 0.01g weighing accuracy, while smarter controls, such as a smart tablet touchscreen, reduce operator intervention and labor reliance.
Advanced visual capabilities with IoT connectivity and data handling capacity also improve operation, while reduced energy consumption and lower noise levels contribute to a more sustainable system. Its hygienic design also reduces chemical and water usage, improves food safety, and reduces cleaning time, according to the release.
