Nominations open until Aug. 18 for annual IFPA awards

The International Fresh Produce Association is accepting nominations for its annual Awards of Excellence until Aug. 18.

Winners will be recognized in October at the Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, California.

The awards recognize individuals and organizations advancing the produce and floral industries through innovation, collaboration and leadership.

Award categories include:

• Advocate of the Year: Recognizes one IFPA member company that serves as an advocate for the entire produce industry.
• Frieda Rapoport Caplan Women’s Catalyst Award: Honors a leader in the produce or floral industry who cultivates women’s potential.
• Jay Pack Cultivating Our Future Award: Honors a volunteer who attracts talent to the industry.
• Produce Excellence in Foodservice Award: Recognizes chefs and foodservice operations for innovation, creativity and all-around excellence in the use of fresh produce in the culinary arts.
