McCain Foods, Chicago Cubs team up for Summer Fry Days

McCain Foods is partnering with the Chicago Cubs to serve its SureCrisp Fries at Wrigley Field this season.

SureCrisp Fries’ recipe keeps fries crispy longer than traditional fries, according to McCain. The fries will be sold at most Wrigley Field concession stands, and one section of fans will receive free fries at every Cubs home game from April 18-Sept. 26 on Summer Fry Days.

Fans can also visit the new McCain SureCrisp Fry House at Gallagher Way, which will feature interactive games steps from the ballpark.

“At McCain, we know there’s nothing like the crack of a bat, the roar of the crowd — and the perfect fry in your hand,” Tracy Hostetler, vice president, head of North American Potato Marketing at McCain Foods, said in a news release. “That’s why we’re proud to bring our game-changing SureCrisp Fries to Wrigley Field. They stay crispy longer, so fans can focus on cheering for the Cubs, not rushing to enjoy their favorite foods.”

SureCrisp Fries’ special batter locks in crispiness for up to 30 minutes, according to the company. The fries are available in 10 varieties, including straight cut, crinkle cut and skin-on spiral cut.

Throughout the season, McCain and the Cubs will introduce additional limited-edition fry creations, according to the release.

The McCain SureCrisp Fry House will also pop up at other Chicago locations, including street fests and parks, this summer, the company said.
