International Potato Technology Expo set for late February

The International Potato Technology Expo and conference returns to the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on Feb. 21-22.

The event welcomes those who grow and package potatoes, together with the leading manufacturers of equipment and products. The successful international event has been held biennially for more than two decades.

Thousands of attendees and exhibitors will be welcomed on the Island for the event, which covers the full spectrum of the industry — from seed, to soil, to growing, harvesting and packaging. Products on display will include harvesters, sprayers, pilers, cultivators, storage and climatization technology, tractors, machinery, seed cutters, plant genetics, seeds, bagging equipment and more.

“Anticipation is building for this year’s event, and we’re currently sold out for booth space — we actually have a waitlist for exhibitors,” said Shawn Murphy, Show Manager. “There’s no better place to host this event than Prince Edward Island, and it’s a pleasure to bring together the latest and greatest tools available for the region’s ever-important potato industry. We’re especially looking forward to working with the PEI Department of Agriculture and Land along with the PEI Potato Board to present a full educational conference, included with registration to all attendees this year.”

The conference portion of the event runs both days, with educational sessions hosted by experts from academia, businesses, and government. See the full schedule and topics on the conference’s website. New for 2020, one convenient visitor registration fee will cover both the trade show and conference portions of the event.

Online pre-registration is open now. Visitors can pre-register today to save money & fast-track entrance to the show. Registration is $10 online in advance ($20 at the door) and is valid for both show trade days and all conference sessions.
