Potatoes USA chef nominee wins United Fresh award

Chef Oliver Plust, chef and part owner of Tender Greens restaurant, is the award winner of the 2016 Quick Service Restaurants category of the United Fresh Produce Excellence in Foodservice awards program, based on the nomination by Potatoes USA. Plust attended the board’s sponsored “Menu Innovation with Potatoes” chef training seminar at the Culinary Institute of America Greystone campus, last October. Syngenta scientist named to USDA Hall of Heroes

Mary-Dell Chilton, a distinguished science fellow at Syngenta, was honored as an inductee into the USDA Hall of Heroes in Washington, D.C. with USDA secretary Tom Vilsack presiding. Established in September 2000, the USDA Hall of Heroes recognizes those that have had a lasting impact on agriculture and related programs. Nominate an emerging industry leader

Spudman magazine has announced its inaugural Spudman Emerging Leader award. The award will recognize an individual, 35 years of age or under, in any sector of the potato industry.
