Nov 12, 2024Yara launches biostimulant portfolio, plans new facility
Yara North America is launching its YaraAmplix biostimulant portfolio in the U.S. and Canada, aimed at enhancing crop resilience, nutrient uptake and overall crop quality while promoting healthier soil and greater adaptability to environmental stressors.
The portfolio products, which incorporate natural ingredients, are backed by more than five years of global and regional research and development, including trials across North America, according to a news release.
One of the first featured products is YaraAmplix PROCOTE OPTIMIZE, which retailers use to coat growers’ dry fertilizer with biostimulants, ensuring even distribution and supporting increased nutrient uptake for improved establishment, plant vigor and root development.
“At Yara, our mission is to support sustainable food production that not only addresses today’s challenges but also safeguards grower prosperity for future generations,” Geraldo Mattioli, senior vice president of Yara North America, said in the release. “The YaraAmplix biostimulant portfolio exemplifies this mission, which is backed by many years of global and regional research and development, delivering the quality and efficacy that growers and our channel partners expect from the Yara brand.”
Yara is also expanding its manufacturing and formulation capabilities with a new state-of-the-art facility dedicated to supporting breakthroughs in biostimulant technology, according to the release.
“This facility, along with Yara’s extensive network of agronomic experts, will enable continuous innovation, supporting growers and our retail customers with solutions grounded in rigorous testing and trialing protocols,” the release read.
