Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the Northwest Potato Research Consortium manager for the Washington, Oregon and Idaho State Potato Commissions.
The Northwest Potato Research Commission mission is to support the potato industry in the Northwest by funding and supporting research that aims to solve problems and regionally advance potato enterprise. This position is responsible for organizing and facilitating the regional research review, funding process and budgeting. Responsibilities also include dissemination of information via the website, facilitation and participation in large federal grant projects, and interaction with all relevant research institution scientists and administrations.
This is a virtual position but the applicant must reside in or near Idaho, Oregon, or Washington. Travel is required across North America to attend various industry and research meetings.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant agriculture scientific discipline,
- 5 years of self-directed work experience,
- Starting salary ranges from $85,000 to $120,000 dependent on qualifications and experience, and
- Will be an employee of one of the state potato commissions and receive state benefits.
