Nominations sought for potato industry board positions

The National Potato Council has three designated voting board seats to be held by growers representing the U.S. potato industry on the Potato Sustainability Alliance board of directors. Nomination forms are due by Oct. 20.

Responsibilities include:

  • Representing the interest of all U.S. potato growers in carrying out the mission of the Potato Sustainability Alliance.
  • Participating in PSA board meetings and committee assignments to convey the needs of U.S. potato growers.

The NPC executive committee will select a nominee to serve a three-year term with the ability to serve two consecutive terms at the close of nominations.

Potato LEAF seeks board nominations

The Potato Leadership, Education and Advancement Foundation is seeking nominations for its board of directors. Nominations must be submitted by Oct. 30.

Board members will serve three-year terms.

Candidates should be engaged in the U.S. potato industry and have board-level experience with nonprofit organizations. Additionally, nominees should have a desire to strategically enhance the foundation’s fundraising strategy and establish a comprehensive leadership development plan to advance the U.S. potato industry.

Foundation programs include the Potato Industry Leadership Institute, a $10,000 graduate-level academic scholarship, continuing education opportunities for industry leaders and networking opportunities at Potato Expo.
