Jan 29, 2025Industry veteran joins NPGA as advisor
Longtime potato industry insider Steve Tweten has joined Northland Potato Growers Association in an advisory capacity.
Tweten was one of the four founders of NoKota Packers, a fresh packing shed in Buxton, North Dakota. He spent more than 40 years with the company before retiring as CEO in December 2019.
“We are looking forward to working with Steve, along with others who currently serve as volunteers for the association,” NPGA executive director Gary Shields said in a statement.
NPGA was formed as the Red River Valley Potato Growers Association in 1946 by growers seeking to unify the area’s potato industry.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to give back to such a great industry,” Tweten said.
