Eric Halverson, executive vice-president of Black Gold Farms, is the inaugural recipient of Spudman’s 2013 Emerging Leader Award. Halverson, of Grand Forks, N.D., was honored at the National Potato Council’s annual awards banquet in Las Vegas following the 2013 Potato Expo.
The award was created to recognize an individual under the age of 35 for their contribution to the potato industry.
