The last day for the Michigan Winter Potato Conference’s early registration rate is Dec. 31. The conference will be held Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in East Lansing.
Sessions will focus on a variety of topics from pest management to potato variety commercialization to storage advances.
Joshua Mays, corporate agronomist for soil health company TriEast Ag Group, will lead a session focused on new information surrounding the use of chloropicrin in potato production.
The discussion will include diversity of application methods, reduced tillage options, soil health impacts and use rate ranges based on soilborne pests.
Mays’ session will be held Feb. 1 at 11:35 a.m.
