Ag World Golf Classic to raise funds for charity

Ag World Support Systems will host the fourth annual Ag World Gold Classic, a fund-raising golf tournament on Wednesday, June 14. JR Simplot, Lamb Weston, McCain Foods and Potato Growers of Washington will co-host the event at the Canyon Lakes Country Club, located in Kennewick, Washington. Golfers can sign up as individuals or teams.

This 18-hole scramble will include food and barbecue along the course, a personal appearance and photos with Ronald McDonald, a cart for ease of play, all followed by an ice cream bar social.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shot gun start at 11:45 a.m.

Ag World Golf Classic was born out of Ag World Support Systems founder Warren Henninger’s vision to help families with children who have severe medical needs. Henninger decided to host a Columbia Basin event to support the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane. Having a grandson born with many medical needs heightened his desire to help families in similar situations.

Through sponsors and donors, the Ag World Golf Classic has donated more than $160,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest over the past three years. The tournament is part of Ag World’s campaign to make a difference by supporting the Ronald McDonald House’s mission to strengthen local families and promote children’s health.

There are several levels of sponsorships available. Sponsorships and online golf tournament registration are available at www.agworldgolf.com, or by calling Warren Henninger at 509-760-2662.
