Lindsay, maker of Zimmatic irrigation systems, has introduced FieldNET Pivot Control.
With FieldNET Pivot Control an irrigator can upgrade almost any brand of pivot system to full remote irrigation control and monitoring capabilities.
Pivot Control allows growers to manage multiple pivot systems with a single, uniform remote control product.
Pivot Control mounts at the pivot point and combines with the global positioning system at the end of the pivot for increased precision and flexibility.
Growers can operate the pivot in the field at the control box or remotely using FieldNET through a smartphone, tablet or computer.
The system allows growers to control pivots and equipment, including pumps, injectors and monitor sensors for pressure, flow, soil moisture, rainfall and temperature.
Pivot Control comes with 360-sector variable rate irrigation. Growers working with agronomists, soil scientists and crop specialists to analyze their field conditions can upload custom prescriptions to FieldNET.
