Syngenta offers potato scholarship

Syngenta is sponsoring a new academic scholarship for students in potato-growing regions of the country. Applications are currently being accepted, and the scholarship is open to high school or college students who reside/attend school in a potato-growing state, who are involved in the potato-growing industry and whose studies are focused in agriculture.

The $5,000 scholarship is available to:

  1. High school seniors interested in agriculture and/or involved in 4-H or FFA
  2. College freshmen, sophomores or juniors majoring (or intending to major) in an agriculture-related field

All applicants must be involved in the potato-growing industry and must attend school in or reside in one of the following states: Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington or Wisconsin. The deadline to enter is Sept. 15.

The winner will be informed via letter in October and will be recognized at the Potato Expo Jan. 5-7 in Las Vegas.
