A thought leader in agro-ecological sustainability has been appointed a World Potato Congress ambassador and an emcee chosen for the 12th annual event, to be held June 23-26 in Adelaide, Australia.
Anika Molesworth, who has a Ph.D. in international agriculture and environmental management, is a renowned authority on rural climate solutions, particularly the role of farmers in mitigating climate change.
“Sustainability isn’t just a choice; it’s a responsibility,” Molesworth said in a news release. “As an ambassador for the World Potato Congress, I’m excited to be part of the conversation on how we can drive positive change and create a more sustainable future for agriculture and our planet.
“By adopting climate-smart farming practices, we pave the way for a resilient food future.”
Molesworth will deliver a keynote presentation addressing the importance of potatoes in sustainable agriculture and their role in mitigating climate change.

Adelaide radio announcer Leith Forrest will serve as event emcee. He has worked with WPC’s 2024 charity partner, Little Heroes Foundation, for 20 years.
