Wendy’s adding breakfast, menu will include potatoes

Wendy’s is going nationwide with breakfast next year and the menu will include “seasoned potatoes,” reported CNN.

The move will require a $20 million investment by Wendy’s, including adding 20,000 employees to its 6,000 U.S. locations. Only a small portion of the planned menu was released for the announcement, which came Sept. 9, with no sign of potatoes — just a honey butter chicken biscuit, breakfast Frosty and a “Breakfast Baconator.”

A company spokesperson did confirm to CNN that the full menu, which will be released later this year, will include potatoes.

Wendy’s currently offers breakfast at about 300 of its location. Its website does not include the breakfast menu selections.

No timetable for the rollout of the nationwide breakfast was announced other than in “2020.”
