USDA opens two solicitations for fresh potatoes

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) announced July 23 two solicitations to purchase fresh potatoes.

They include:

• Solicitation No. 2000007171 — 5- and 10-pound bags of size A potatoes (russets, white round and yellows will be accepted) for the Trade Mitigation: Food Purchase and Distribution Program. Deliveries are to be made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 30, 2020. Offers can be made July 23 until 1 p.m. CT Aug. 25. Click here.
• Solicitation No. 2000007149 — 5- and 10-pound bags of size A potatoes (russets, white round) for the National School Lunch Program and other Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs.
