USDA opens two solicitations for fresh potatoes
The USDA-AMS is currently taking offers to buy 5- and 10-pound bags of potatoes to be delivered around the U.S. during the fall and early winter.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) announced July 23 two solicitations to purchase fresh potatoes.
They include:
- Solicitation No. 2000007171 — 5- and 10-pound bags of size A potatoes (russets, white round and yellows will be accepted) for the Trade Mitigation: Food Purchase and Distribution Program. Deliveries are to be made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 30, 2020. Offers can be made July 23 until 1 p.m. CT Aug. 25. Click here.
- Solicitation No. 2000007149 — 5- and 10-pound bags of size A potatoes (russets, white round) for the National School Lunch Program and other Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs.
