University of Minnesota to host field day July 19

The Minnesota Area II Potato Research and Promotion Council has scheduled a Potato Field Day on Tuesday, July 19 at the University of Minnesota Sand Plain Research Farm in Becker.
The programming begins at 2:30 p.m. Sain Plain researchers will discuss ESN Smart Nitrogen results on corn and potatoes. Presentations will begin at 5:30 p.m. Topics and presenters include:
- Preemergent herbicides and managing blemishes — Andy Robinson
- Update on nutrient management studies — Carl Rosen
- Battling beetles — Ian MacRae
Dinner will be served following the presentations.
