Trio’s election to Wisconsin Potato Industry Board certified

The 2025 Wisconsin Potato Industry Board election results have been certified. Meet the trio of members who began their terms July 1.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has certified the 2025 Wisconsin Potato Industry Board election results. 

Three growers began three-year terms on July 1:

District 1: Keith Wolter, Antigo

Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Brown, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Door, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Iron, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix, Taylor, Vilas, and Washburn counties

District 2: Andy Diercks, Coloma

Marathon, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Waupaca, and Waushara counties

At-Large: Joseph E. Seis, Grand Marsh

Representing producers across the state

The board is composed of nine growers representing three districts, with one at-large member elected every third year. The board oversees the collection and use of more than $2 million in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin potato growers. 

The fees support the potato industry through research, education and promotion of Wisconsin- grown potatoes.
