Leading vegetable handling equipment manufacturer Tong Engineering has added two people to its project management team.
“As our equipment advances, we have an increasing number of projects that require dedicated project management due to their scale or complexity,” said Edward Tong, Managing Director. “With this in mind, we have expanded our project management team in order to maintain the very best customer service.”
Dave Clarke joins the team with over 23 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering. He has completed roles for manufacturers and end-user companies within the automation, robotics and food industries. Since joining Tong Engineering in 2015, Clarke has been responsible for all aspects of electrical design and support. He has overseen several large-scale project installations.
“My growing involvement with our more complex projects meant a move into a more dedicated project management role was a natural step for me,” Clarke said. “I am excited to join the project management team within such an established company that retains family values of integrity, loyalty and reliability at its heart.”
Along with Clarke, Tong has also appointed Elliot Stones within the growing project management team. Stones began his engineering career after gaining his degree in Industrial Design and Manufacture at Loughborough University. He joined Tong’s design department in 2013, working on 3D design and product development, before increasing his relations with Tong customers during the technical design stage of projects.
