The title of the publication is Spudman, but make no mistake — we know how valuable the contributions of women are to the potato industry.
So in 2017, Spudman established the Spudwoman of the Year award. It’s time to get nominations your nominations in for this year’s awards program, which will be a focus of our May/June issue.
Nominees can be from any segment of the potato industry, whether a grower, shipper, researcher or marketer. Nominations are due by Friday, March 1.

The inaugural winner of the Spudwoman of the Year award was Addie Waxman, the director of research and development at 1,4GROUP. Melanie Wickham of Empire Potato Growers won the award in 2018.
