Spudman presenting SpudWeek webinar series Aug. 10-12

Spudman is hosting a three-part webinar series the second week of August — named SpudWeek — that will dive into topics affecting potato growers.

The lineup includes looks at soil health, rising temperatures’ effect on potato storage and a roundtable discussion where researchers will talk about topics on their radars, as well as field some questions from attendees.

The free webinars will take place live at 2 p.m. daily Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 10-12.

On Aug. 10, Linda Schott, assistant professor and Extension specialist at the University of Idaho, will host a webinar on best soil health practices, including from a late-season point of view.

On Aug. 11, Michigan State University Potato Extension Specialist Chris Long and Techmark Inc. VP, Storage Systems Engineer Todd Forbush will present on a topic they’ve taken on — rising temperatures’ effect on potatoes in storage and energy challenges.

On Aug. 12, three potato research specialists will join us for a roundtable discussion. The panel will include Paul Bethke, an associate professor for the USDA ARS and University of Wisconsin, Steve Johnson, crop specialist and Extension professor at the University of Maine, and Jeff Miller, owner of Miller Research in Rupert, Idaho, and former professor at the University of Idaho. Each will bring topics at the forefront of their minds to the discussion, as well as field a few questions from the attendees.

Register for the webinar series here. We hope you join us for SpudWeek.
