Side Delights promotions set for summer

Fresh Solutions Network (FSN) is launching summer promotions for each month of the season, with Side Delights June Meet Your New Flame,” July’s “Star Spangled Steamables” and August’s “Grill ✓ Potatoes ✓.”

Fresh Solutions Network is launching the summer season with “Meet Your New Flame” Side Delights promotion. Promotion materials include in-store merchandiser displays, coordinating point-of-purchase signage and labeled QR codes that provide potato recipes.

July’s “”Star Spangled Steamables”” promotion spotlights the Side Delights Steamables potato celebration medley containing red, white and blue spuds. A QR code found on the themed in-store merchandiser displays and coordinating point-of-purchase signage provides a Red, White and Blue Potato Salad recipe.

A QR code on promotional matierals in August takes shoppers to a Grilled Potato Plank recipe.

Research proves that when potatoes are merchandised in secondary displays outside the produce department, overall potato category sales increase by nearly 16 percent, featured item sales increase by 78 percent, and the total basket ring is two percent higher, FSN said.
