Shunping Ding receives NPC academic scholarship

The National Potato Council (NPC) has awarded Shunping Ding, a Ph.D. student in plant pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, its 2015-16 academic scholarship.The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate student with an emphasis in research that can benefit the potato industry.
Ding’s current focus is in enhancing control of early blight, a common fungal disease that results in significant annual loss to the potato industry.
