Russet Burbank continues to lead

The Russet Burbank continues to be the most popular variety planted in the United States according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).

The NASS crop production report indicates that 52.9 percent of planted acres in the U.S. for 2013 were Russet Burbank. Number two is Russet Norkotah with 20.6 percent, Ranger Russet is number three with 13.8 percent.
