Oct 23, 2022Potatoes USA to provide November workshop for Wisconsin growers/shippers
The national Potatoes USA marketing team is coming to Wisconsin in November to tour and visit with various grower organizations, as well as to provide a workshop and review of their marketing programs for any and all Wisconsin growers and shippers.
Potatoes USA staff will be in Wisconsin on November 9 & 10, with visits to Alsum Farms and Produce in Friesland, RPE in Bancroft, and Bushmans’ Inc. in Rosholt on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
The Wisconsin Workshop and marketing program review will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 8 AM to noon at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point.
The agenda for the meeting on Thursday morning is as follows:

8:00-8:30 Light breakfast
8:30-9:15 Listening session and potato market update
9:15-9:30 International marketing update, with a spotlight on Mexico
9:30-10:15 Retail merchandising best practices workshop
10:15-10:30 Break
10:30-11:15 Current foodservice trends, culinary innovation & how to showcase potatoes (Chef Quinn Adkins from Culver’s will speak for part of this session.)
11:15-12:00 Positioning potatoes as a performance fuel — potato nutrition and Gen Z
