Potato processing equipment manufacturer Idaho Steel adds sales veteran

Leading potato processing equipment manufacturer Idaho Steel has added a sales veteran to its team. Rick Garrett is the company’s new director of sales and marketing.

Garrett has more than 30 years of industry experience, including his most recent role as sales engineering director at Key Technology.

He has a bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering from BYU.

Jon Christensen, outgoing director, will transition to a role on the company’s board in the next 12-18 months, according to a news release.

“We are confident that this collaborative effort between Rick and Jon will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization in the coming months and beyond,” board member Davis Christensen said in the release.

Located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Idaho Steel has invested in global food processing research and potato processing equipment since its 1918 founding.
