Potato LEAF scholarship application deadline nears

The deadline to apply for the Potato Leadership, Education and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF)’s annual academic scholarship is approaching.

The graduate-level $10,000 award will be presented to a student with a master’s degree or higher working to conduct research and provide information to improve the future of the U.S. potato industry.

Focus may include basic or applied research that improves potato production efficiency, addresses pest management and disease issues, increases consumer benefits from potato consumption and/or produces knowledge related to advancing the competitiveness of the U.S. potato industry.

Applications must be received by June 12. The scholarship will be awarded in August for the 2026-27 academic year.
