Potato Leadership Institute Alumni Summit set for Nashville this summer

The Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) has announced its second annual Leadership Institute Alumni Summit will be held in person June 24, 2022, at the new Embassy Suites in downtown Nashville.

The annual summit brings together graduates of the Potato Industry Leadership Institute (PILI) to network, refresh skills and learn new techniques to better position themselves for success in the potato industry.

The first Alumni Summit was held virtually in 2021 as the Potato LEAF board of directors saw an opportunity and need to continue investing in over 300 PILI graduates. The 2022 summit coincides with the National Potato Council’s 2022 Summer Meeting held in Nashville.

“The 2022 summit is going to be a great opportunity for me personally to sharpen my skills and allow PILI alumni to deepen their leadership abilities in a collegial, in-person setting,” said Shelley Olsen, chair of the board for Potato LEAF and alumnus of the PILI. “We hope that adding this event to NPC’s  Summer Meeting will allow even more graduates to participate in both important meetings for the U.S. potato industry. After two years of virtual meetings, I know I’m not the only one looking forward to catching up with my classmates and learning from other graduates of the leadership program.”

Additional information will be available in the coming months related to the program and registration process.
