Washington potato grower and National Potato Council board member Grant Morris has been appointed to serve on the EPA’s Pesticide Policy Dialogue Committee.
The committee provides policy advice, information and recommendations to EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs.
“Mr. Morris is actively engaged in helping to ensure that agency staff understand the decision-making processes involved in making pesticide-related decisions on the farm,” NPC CEO Kam Quarles wrote in a nomination letter. “Mr. Morris is actively involved in supporting the comment process for the industry and hosted EPA-OPP staff on his farm in July of 2023 to experience firsthand his decision-making processes as a part of the NPC EPA-USDA Agency Tour.”
The committee is scheduled to meet June 5-6.
