PepsiCo is closing two Frito-Lay facilities in Orlando, Florida, in moves that will affect 500 employees.
According to Florida’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice website, the company terminated 454 employees at its Silver Star Road facility on Nov. 4.
An additional 46 employees at the company’s Parks Oaks Avenue facility will be terminated when the warehouse closes on May 9, 2026.
PepsiCo said the terminations are expected to be permanent.
While the affected employees at both facilities are not represented by a union, the company said in the WARN notice that it is prepared to work with state and local government agencies to assist them.
