Agtech provider Almanac is teaming up irrigation company WiseConn to help growers worldwide integrate smart irrigation solutions.
The collaboration will help growers optimize water usage and improve crop yield by automating and managing irrigation systems through artificial intelligence-driven tools, according to a news release.
“This enhanced partnership brings together WiseConn’s industry-leading hardware for irrigation control with Almanac’s AI-powered farm data analytics,” Almanac CEO Sumer Johal said in the release. “Together, we’ll deliver seamless installation, unmatched reliability and exceptional boots-on-the-ground support to farmers worldwide.”
The partnership allows farmers to use the SemiosConnect platform to access WiseConn’s DropControl system, enabling automated irrigation and fertigation scheduling. The setup integrates water usage data with Almanac’s digital tools to facilitate efficient irrigation management.
The Almanac Digital Field Solutions team of certified technicians will install and manage WiseConn systems.
“This partnership translates into the only one-stop shop for permanent crops in the market,” Guillermo Valenzuela, WiseConn’s vice president of sales and marketing, said. “WiseConn enables farmers to gain complete control of their water management — automating irrigation and fertigation while providing the best-in-class water management insights with Almanac’s data analytics.”
A major distributor of WiseConn equipment, Vancouver-based Almanac utilizes AI and machine learning. Its intelligence platform Alma analyzes real-time farm data to predict trends and help growers make informed decisions.
