Daniels brings 30 years of leadership and hands-on expertise in the organic produce industry spanning operations, food safety, quality, organic compliance and research and development, according to a news release from the company. Most recently, Daniels was president of the Produce Division of IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group, a global leader in food and product testing. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Fresh Integrity Group, WTRMLN WTR, Juicero and Earthbound Farm, where he spent 15 years and was responsible for the development of the company’s food safety and organic integrity programs for both processing and farming.

AgroThrive said Daniels is known for his inspiring public speaking, publications and multiple awards for his accomplishments championing food safety and organic integrity. In addition to his professional roles, he has made a significant impact in industry service roles, which include serving as President of the Board of Directors for CCOF, Board Member of the California Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement, and service on the Educational Advisory Board for the Food Safety Summit.

“My dedication to organic food and farming is deep and wide,” Daniels said in the news release. “It’s truly gratifying to watch consumer demand for organic food continue to thrive. As more land is converted to organic management to meet that growing demand, we need to ensure that farmers have access to high-quality, high-integrity organic fertilizers so that the organic brand maintains consumer trust. AgroThrive has a reputation for high quality, food safety, and organic integrity. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join their senior management and continue being a part of this important work.”

AgroThrive’s founder Dragan Macura said Daniels shares the company’s passion for quality, food safety, organic integrity, and our ability to build a better world by reducing reliance on chemicals in agriculture.

“We’ve always believed that food safety starts with fertilizer,” Macura said in the news release. “The quality of the food we eat is crucial to human health and so is the impact we have on the environment when we produce it.”
