Sep 9, 2025Nutrien Ag Solutions completes upgrades at Indiana facility
Crop solutions company Nutrien Ag Solutions has completed infrastructure improvements at its Tipton, Indiana retail facility.
The upgrades will expand the company’s capabilities to support growers across central Indiana, according to a news release. The Tipton location is one of many Nutrien Ag Solutions retail facilities across North America included in the company’s capital improvement initiative, designed to modernize operations and enhance service in regions experiencing rapid agricultural growth, according to the release.

At a Sept. 9 ribbon cutting, Nutrien employees, local farmers, suppliers and community leaders toured the upgraded facility.
“This facility is a showcase of innovation, built with one goal in mind: supporting farmer success,” said Rob Clayton, Nutrien Ag Solutions senior vice president of North American retail. “Our capital improvement initiative reflects Nutrien’s unwavering commitment to delivering industry-leading products, proprietary solutions and services that maximize yield, profitability and sustainability.”
Facility upgrades include:
- A 5,000-ton dry fertilizer storage system with rail access and 250-ton-per-hour receiving and blending capabilities for precise macro and micronutrient blends with liquid impregnation
- A liquid storage and blending facility with 2 million gallons of UAN storage, 240,000 gallons of nutritional storage and 110,000 gallons of chemistry storage, plus interior and exterior load pads for custom blends
- An enhanced anhydrous ammonia system including four riser platforms, 120,000 gallons of NH3 storage, and stabilizer injection capabilities
- A modernized office designed with digital and operational efficiencies
In March, the company opened a new research facility at its Innovation Farm location in Illinois.
