NPGA, Potato Bowl USA committee name scholarship recipients

The Northland Potato Growers Association (NPGA) and the Potato Bowl USA committee have announced scholarship winners for 2026. Each organization chose three recipients from applicants who are children or grandchildren of NPGA grower members or associates.

The three NPGA award recipients each earned a $2,500 scholarship to the college or university of their choice:

Brooke Gullickson

Gullickson is a recent honor graduate of Valley‑Edinburg High School in Edinburg, North Dakota, where she excelled in athletics, academics, leadership and fine arts. She also gained valuable agricultural experience working on her family farm and at Hoople Farmers Grain.

She will attend the University of North Dakota to study nutrition and dietetics and plans to return home to help improve the health and well‑being of her community.

Maddilyn Hoverson

Hoverson, from Larimore, North Dakota, is studying biology and psychology on a pre-med track at the University of North Dakota, pursuing her passions for healthcare and service.

Molly Bjorneby

Bjorneby, of Grafton, North Dakota. Molly attends Valley City State University, where she is majoring in exercise science. Her goal is to help expand access to physical therapy in rural communities after graduation.

Joslyn Jackson, from West Fargo, North Dakota, and is pursuing a bachelor’s in nursing at the University of North Dakota.

Jacey Nelsen graduated from Valley–Edinburg High School in 2026 and will be attending Northland College to pursue a degree as a pharmacy technician.

Bluepeak Fiber Internet Potato Bowl scholarship

Mattia Braun is studying political science at the University of North Dakota and plans to pursue a career in public policy.
