A leadership change at the Northland Potato Growers Association has taken place, with Donavon Johnson leaving the organization.
Jacey Kuersteiner, previously NPGA office and finance manager, will assume interim executive director responsibilities, according to a statement from the organization.
In the statement, NPGA’s board of directors thanked Johnson for his service and wished him success in future endeavors. The statement also expressed confidence in Kuersteiner, who it said “has been an integral part of the NPGA team for three years, developing strong industry and grower relationships and a deep understanding of the potato industry.”
“We’re deeply committed to promoting our region’s quality potatoes,” Peter Imle, board chair, said. “It’s an exciting era for our industry in North Dakota and Minnesota. We’re confident that under Kuersteiner’s leadership, we’ll continue to excel and adhere to our core mission.”
