Northland Potato Growers Association campaigns receive marketing awards

The Northland Potato Growers Association, in partnership with Ten Acre Marketing, has been recognized with two National Argi-Marketing Association (NAMA) awards.

First-place and merit award winners move on to the national level. All winners will be announced at a NAMA conference in Kansas City on April 24, according to a news release.

The marketing agency received two merit awards for work with NPGA in the following categories:

  • Advertising Campaign Directed to Consumers for the “Potat-oh-yeah” campaign. This integrated advertising effort celebrated the taste of local potatoes, utilizing the regional vernacular “Oh Yeah” to resonate with the North Dakota/Minnesota community. With vibrant visuals and a strategy spanning out-of-home ads, digital platforms and the enlistment of Food Network’s Molly Yeh, the campaign aimed to elevate the potato’s profile and stimulate market demand.
  • Corporate Branding for the revitalized Northland Potato Growers Association logo and brand work. The rebrand introduced a fresh name, wordmark and logo, incorporating a nod to the Nordic heritage of many growers and the region’s cooler temperatures. This new identity aimed to increase participation among younger growers, enhance the association’s visibility at industry events and ensure brand consistency.

Both projects were funded by the USDA’s Specialty Crop Block Grant program.
