Nitrogen-fixing biological Envita is now available in the U.S. market and will be available for the 2025 planting season.

The wettable granule application, Envita WG, works within plant cells to fix atmospheric nitrogen to a usable form, according to a news release. Research conducted in Michigan and North Carolina showed advanced growth in potatoes, improved tuber set, consistent yield increase and deeper rooting systems, according to the release.

“Envita worked like an insurance program that made nitrogen available to the potato plants when it was needed,” Rob Schafer, Mid-Michigan Agronomy owner and researcher, said.

Envita WG contains the same nitrogen-fixing bacteria as Organic Materials Review Institute-listed Envita SC (suspension concentrate), and Envita can be applied as a foliar or in-furrow application.

More information about Envita and its performance guarantee program is available online and in this video.
