Sep 30, 2020Next World Potato Congress postponed until 2022
The next edition of the World Potato Congress (WPC), originally scheduled for late spring 2021 in Dublin, Ireland, has been postponed until 2022.
The announcement came Sept. 30 through an email statement.
“It was felt the early decision to postpone was the correct and responsible one to take and is in the best interests of the global potato community,” organizers said through the statement.
New dates for the WPC are May 30-June 2, 2022. The event will be preceded by Europatat Congress May 29-30.
“It is already very clear that there is now a huge appetite for full, live, in person World Potato and Europatat Congresses and early indications are that the 2021 events partners, sponsors and speakers are solidly committed to remaining on board until 2022,” organizers said.
