New executive director at BPIA

Keith Jones is the new executive director of the Biopesticide Industry Alliance (BPIA). He replaced Bill Stoneman, beginning Aug. 10.

Jones is an attorney specializing in environmental affairs. He also has a master’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

It’s a really exciting opportunity,” Jones said of his new job. “We have such a great mission. All we’re trying to do is increase awareness of the effectiveness and benefits of biopesticides.”

He said that he is looking forward to increasing BPIA’s presence on Capitol Hill and with EPA.

Previously, Jones worked for the Philadelphia Water Department from 2000-2007, eventually serving as general counsel. From 2007-2010, he was general counsel for the National Association of Clean Water Agencies in Washington, D.C. He was the executive director of the Lower Merion Conservancy in 2010-2011, a land trust and water protection group.
