New app allows users to monitor for potato blight

Two North Dakota organizations have collaborated on a new app that allows uses to track weather data to monitor for potato blight.

The NDSU NDAWN Potato Blight App, created by North Dakota State University and the North Dakota Agriculture Weather Network, allows users to access current weather conditions at any NDAWN location.

Users can also subscribe to Blightline updates, early and late blight alerts, and inversion alerts.

The app, which can be used on smartphones and tablets, is available at the Apple and Google Play stores.
