Michigan State University Extension will hold a summer irrigation workshop focused on improving irrigation efficiency on Aug. 1.
The event, to be held at the Kellogg Biological Station, will feature hands-on demonstrations, expert presentations and field tours.

Key topics will include:
- Soil texture testing (bring your own sample)
- Irrigation system uniformity
- Sprinkler selection
- Irrigation scheduling tools
- Variable rate irrigation
A mini trade show will highlight irrigation technologies, and participants can join a roundtable discussion on the future of irrigation in Michigan.
