Michigan potato farmer dies after suffering injury on family farm

A Michigan potato farmer has died after suffering a head injury on his farm. Jon Yoder of Yoder Family Farms in Sturgis died Oct. 12.

Yoder was injured on Oct. 3, according to the Michigan Potato Industry Commission.

His death was announced by Michigan Potatoes and on the Facebook page of the church attended by the Yoder family.

Yoder served as a commissioner for the Michigan Potato Industry Commission.

A funeral is scheduled for Oct. 16.
