J.R. Simplot announced Nov. 27 the acquisition of retailer Pinnacle Agriculture Holdings and its subsidiaries.
J.R. Simplot, based in Boise, Idaho, made the move to bring together two market leaders in the distribution of agriculture crop inputs and related services, the company stated in a press release. The transition is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2020.

The combined complementary footprint of Simplot Grower Solutions and Pinnacle stores will grow to more than 200 locations across North America, with approximately 2,700 employees, and more than 500 Crop Advisors.
