Idaho Steel, Reyco Systems owner retiring

Davis Christensen, owner of potato processing equipment manufacturer Idaho Steel Products and potato industry equipment supplier Reyco Systems, is retiring.

Founded in 1918, Idaho Steel is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In 1991, Lynn Bradshaw bought the company. He sold it in 2008  to sons Delynn and Alan and son-in-law, Christensen, according to Idaho Steel’s website.

Christensen played a key role in the company’s sales and marketing efforts throughout decades of leadership, according to a news release.

“Davis’s impact on our companies and the potato processing industry at large cannot be overstated,” Alan Bradshaw, general manager and co-owner at Idaho Steel Products and Reyco Systems, said in the release. “His relentless pursuit of excellence, coupled with his deep-seated understanding of our customers’ needs, has set a standard of quality and service that will endure for years to come. Our co-owner, Delynn Bradshaw, and I are grateful for his contributions.”

Christensen will remain on the company board of directors, while his son, Jon Christensen, will join the ownership group, according to the release.

Jon Christensen, with more than 12 years of experience at Idaho Steel, was recently appointed vice president of sales and marketing.
