Idaho grower elected chair of Potato LEAF board

Third-generation Idaho grower Brett Jensen has been elected chair of the Potato Leadership, Education and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) board.

Jensen, owner of Brett Jensen Farms in Idaho Falls, succeeds Gregg Halverson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who served as chair since 2023.

RJ Andrus of Idaho Falls and Keith McGovern of Fargo, North Dakota, were re-elected to three-year terms at Potato LEAF’s annual meeting, held in conjunction with Potato Expo 2025 earlier this month in Orlando, Florida.

Jensen joined the Potato LEAF board in 2023. He has served as chair of the Idaho Potato Commission and Potatoes USA and currently serves on the National Potato Council board.

“It is an honor to be chosen by the board to lead the organization for the next year,” Jensen said in a statement. “I look forward to leading the discussions to ensure the foundation is meeting the leadership development needs of the U.S. potato industry.”
