The results of fresh market variety trials were presented at a Nov. 26 meeting at the Northland Potato Growers Association office and at the USDA lab in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
This summer, two trials evaluated traits of 13 red-skinned and 17 yellow-skinned cultivars near Crystal, North Dakota. Plots were established in a commercial, non-irrigated potato field utilizing common potato production practices.
