Forms available to give to agriculture employees, shippers

As the number of states mandating that citizens stay home other than for essential supplies or work rises due to COVID-19, the Washington State Potato Commission has shared forms that could assist food industry employees potentially avoid hangups getting to and from work.

Agriculture has been deemed essential by government officials, meaning farm and food production employees are exempt from stay-in-shelter mandates. While it’s unknown how mandates will be enforced, issuing documentation to agriculture employees or shippers should they be questioned by law enforcement is a proactive measure.

No such documentation has been required at this time.
