Europatat elects new board

Europatat recently celebrated its 68th Assembly General Meeting (AGM) and elected new board members.

The association welcomes re-elected member, Jos Muyshondt as new Europatat president, as well as Domenico Citterio and Gilles Fontaine in the role of vice-president and treasurer respectively. Europatat thanked outgoing president and vice-president, Kees van Arendonk and Thomas Herkenrath.

Participants had the opportunity to review the different activities of Europatat during the meetings of the various Europatat Commissions (RUCIP, ware potatoes & early potatoes, and seed potatoes, packers & technical and regulatory issues). This networking and policy meeting was dedicated to catching up on recent policy developments impacting the potato sector, such as a review on recent production and trade trends, consumption and promotion of potatoes under the recently adopted legislation, the plant health reform, and other relevant related topics.

At the AGM held in the afternoon, the annual activity report was introduced and the association’s accounts were approved by the members.
